We built this cute cottage guest house for our clients in 2012. Unfortunately, as happened to so many in the Austin area, it was water damaged in the Great Freeze of 2021 when the tankless water heater in the attic burst. Our clients decided to take advantage of a bad situation and do some remodeling; the previously closed off attic was turned into a 3/4 loft, with tongue and groove ceiling and a one-of-a-kind custom retractable ship’s ladder. Additionally, the kitchen was given an upgrade, with granite countertops and a large white farm sink.
